The Little Eagle 500 (LE500), China’s first general aircraft to enter the African civil market has successfully completed its first flight on the continent.

The news comes from a statement released by China’s Aviation Industry Corporation (AVIC), in which they state that two LE500s successfully flew their first sorties at a pilot training school in South Africa.

The 4-5 seat aircraft is set to enter the African general aviation market soon and is expected to be mainly used for flight training amongst other general aviation tasks.
