Business Mogul and Chairman of McDan Shipping, Mr Daniel McKorley has received license to manage and operate the executive lounge for private jets at the new terminal 1 airport. This is part of efforts by government to change the face of aviation in the country.

The FBO is the private jet terminal at the airport, which has been set apart from the main airport buildings, offering a range of services for private jet customers, aircraft and crew.

The new deal is expected to help the company in achieving its goal of enhancing the customer experience while expanding business at the Airport

McDan, who has over the years earned an enviable reputation for  shipping and logistics management will now cater for the full ground handling services at terminal 3 which shall include, but not limited to General aviation operations, aircraft service operator, aircraft  airframe and engine repair operator(maintenance), aircraft rental operator, aircraft charter operator, aircraft sales operator and aircraft storage and hangar rental operator

McDan will be required to invest in the appropriate equipment and infrastructure that will ensure efficient, safe and secure operations at the airport and also recruit and maintain personnel in adequate numbers

Private jet airports and private terminals are designed to make life easier. Instead of waiting in lengthy queues, you can drive onto the tarmac, check in onboard your aircraft or in the lounge, and be on your way.

This will be Ghana’s first purpose-built FBO, offering business aircraft operators a secure and private alternative to the airport’s main terminal.

The FBO includes a VIP lounge, a crew lounge and flight planning office, as well as conference facilities and a hangar. Passengers and crew can complete customs and immigration procedures in the same building. The new facility will also feature a restaurant, which can provide in-flight catering.
